Recovery Peptides: BPC-157, TB-500, GLOW, KLOW

Tore something? Chronic tendon pain? Gut wrecked by NSAIDs? Skin losing elasticity? Hair thinning? The recovery peptide category has a solution for each of these, and PEPTEX carries four products that cover the full spectrum: BPC-157, TB-500, and two multi-peptide blends (GLOW and KLOW).
Here's what each one does and how to pick.
BPC-157: the gut and tendon specialist
[[BPC-157|22]] is a 15-amino-acid peptide from human gastric juice. It's the most researched recovery peptide available. The mechanism: it upregulates VEGF (grows new blood vessels toward the injury), modulates the nitric oxide system (controls inflammation and blood flow), and boosts growth factors like EGF and FGF.
Research highlights: near-complete prevention of NSAID gut damage in rats (2004 study with diclofenac), accelerated Achilles tendon healing with better collagen organization (2003), faster muscle recovery after crush injuries (2010).
Typical protocol: 250-500mcg/day subcutaneously near the problem area, 4-6 weeks. The 5mg vial at 250mcg/day lasts 20 days. The 10mg vial covers a full 40-day course.
Best for: gut issues from NSAIDs, tendon and ligament injuries, general wound healing.
TB-500: the anti-inflammatory regenerator
[[TB-500|25]] (Thymosin Beta-4 fragment) is based on a protein found in virtually every tissue in your body. Its main job: drive cell migration to injury sites and reduce excess inflammation.
Where BPC-157 builds new blood vessels, TB-500 sends repair crews. It upregulates actin (a protein critical for cell movement and structure), downregulates inflammatory cytokines, and supports tissue remodeling. Preclinical studies also show effects on cardiac tissue repair and hair follicle stem cell activation.
Typical protocol: 2-5mg twice weekly for 4-6 weeks, then maintenance at lower frequency. Available in 5mg and 10mg vials.
Best for: chronic inflammation, general tissue repair, post-injury recovery, hair growth support.
Why people stack them
BPC-157 and TB-500 work through different mechanisms. BPC-157 handles the vascular side (blood supply to the injury). TB-500 handles the cellular side (getting repair cells to the site and controlling inflammation). Together they cover both pillars of tissue repair.
This synergy is why we created two ready-made blends that include both.
GLOW: skin and collagen focus
[[GLOW|23]] combines BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu in a single 70mg vial.
The logic: BPC-157 builds blood supply to skin tissue. TB-500 migrates repair cells to the area. GHK-Cu (a copper tripeptide) stimulates collagen I and III production, modulates 4000+ genes involved in tissue repair, and has documented antioxidant effects.
Three peptides, three repair mechanisms, one injection. Designed for skin quality improvement, wound healing support, and collagen recovery.
KLOW: scalp and hair focus
[[KLOW|20]] combines BPC-157 + TB-500 + KPV + GHK-Cu in a single 80mg vial.
Same recovery base (BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu) as GLOW, plus KPV. KPV is a tripeptide fragment of alpha-MSH with strong anti-inflammatory properties. It specifically targets the kind of chronic, low-grade scalp inflammation that contributes to follicle miniaturization and hair thinning.
If hair and scalp health are the priority, KLOW adds the anti-inflammatory layer that GLOW doesn't have.
Quick decision guide
- Gut damage from painkillers, tendon or ligament injury? Start with [[BPC-157|22]].
- Chronic inflammation, general tissue repair, cardiac or musculoskeletal concerns? Look at [[TB-500|25]].
- Skin quality, collagen support, wound healing? [[GLOW|23]] covers all three mechanisms.
- Hair thinning, scalp inflammation? [[KLOW|20]] adds the targeted anti-inflammatory component.
Running BPC-157 + TB-500 separately gives you more control over individual doses. The blends give you convenience and guaranteed ratios. Both approaches work.
Storage notes
All four products come as lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water (slowly along the vial wall, swirl gently). Store powder at -20°C long-term or 2-8°C short-term. After reconstitution: fridge only, use within 90 days.
