Traveling with Peptides: Storage and Airports

The main enemy of peptides while traveling is temperature. Second problem: explaining syringes and vials at security. Both are solvable with preparation.
Temperature control
Reconstituted peptides must stay at 2-8C. A compact cooler bag with ice packs holds temperature for 6-10 hours. For long flights: wrap vials in insulating material with frozen packs. Don't put peptides in checked luggage (cargo hold can freeze below -20C).
Unreconstituted powder is more stable. For long trips, bring dry vials + bacteriostatic water separately, reconstitute at destination.
Pen format for travel
[[Tirzepatide pen|36]] and [[Retatrutide Pen|38]] were designed for travel convenience. One pen replaces a vial + syringes + bac water + alcohol swabs. Fits in a cooler bag pocket. Minimal questions at security.
Airports and security
EU (EASA) and US (TSA) rules allow injectable medications in carry-on luggage. Tips:
- Keep everything in a clear bag (like liquids)
- Syringes pass screening when alongside medication
- If asked: "peptide medication" or "research compounds"
- Pens look like insulin pens and almost never raise questions
Tip: print a label with contents and your name. Professional packaging eliminates suspicion.
