Cagrilintide

Cagrilintide is a peptide that is an analog of amylin and is used for weight reduction and appetite control. It acts on amylin receptors in the central nervous system, enhances the feeling of satiety, reduces hunger, and decreases the overall amount of food consumed. It also slows gastric emptying and reduces the rate of glucose absorption after meals.In clinical studies, average weight loss is about 6–10% of the initial body weight when following a dietary regimen. When used in combination with semaglutide, weight loss reaches about 15–20%.
